                   2008-2009 TEAM MAXIMUM

Maximum Gymnastics has a USAG girls competitive team for levels 4 though 10, as well as a developmental team program called the STARS program.

Our philosophy is MAXIMUM Fun ... MAXIMUM Success

We believe it is equally important for a gymnast to have fun and enjoy the sport of gymnastics while at the same time training in a serious and dedicated manner in order to achieve success to their utmost potential.

COMPULSORY LEVELS  - Levels 4 through 6 are compulsory levels where all gymnasts perform the same routines on vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam and floor.

OPTIONAL LEVELS - Levels 7 through 10 are optional levels where gymnasts are given the opportunity to compete with routines that are choreographed specifically to showcase their unique talents and personalities.

Both the compulsory and optional programs are for those gymnasts who have passed the pre-team entry requirements and are very disciplined and hard working.  Each level has its own skills, routines, flexibility, and strength requirements as set by the USAG and Junior Olympic program.

USA Gymnastics is the sole national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States.  It gets this designation from the International Olympic committee and the International Gymnastics Federation.  USA Gymnastics sets the rules and policies that govern gymnastics  in this country.  Training and selecting the U.S. Gymnastics Teams for the Olympics and World Championships are just two of the many responsibilities of USA Gymnastics.

Today more than 71,000 athletes are registered in competitive programs throughout USA Gymnastics.  USA Gymnastics has more than 13,000 professional and instructor members.  Approximately 3,000 competitions and events throughout the U.S. are sanctioned annually.
